Letter from Harriet Mueni

The day was fine and beautiful. Every form one was eagerly waiting for their parents. The rest of us were anxiously waiting for the day because the principal had already informed us that we would be having visitors. We never knew what kind of visitors w were waiting for, but we cleaned and arranged the school in a tidy way that day.

Every one of us dressed in her best clothes to wait for the Form One parents and also the visitors whom the principal had told us would come. We waited anxiously until midday. We started losing hope because we knew that the visitors would not come, but we waited a little bit more.

At exactly 3:00 p.m., we were settled in our classrooms when we saw an unfamiliar bus. Everyone stood up to see whom it could be carrying, and fortunately we saw unfamiliar faces. I was sure that they were the visitors the principal had told us about.

Within a twinkle of an eye, we were told to assemble in the main hall. We hurried there and settled to hear what the visitors had for us. When you all came in we were happy to have people from the USA talking to us. I listened keenly to your messages and they are important in my life. I was eager to know that God listens to our prayers and answers them accordingly.

From that day, you have been a channel of blessings to us. I am happy to know that we should be contented with what we have and not be jealous of our friends leading us to sin like Cain who killed his brother, Abel. I also know that doing contrary to God's words and will will lead us into everlasting punishment.

From the message you gave us about creation, it helped me to know that I was created in God's image and likeness. Also I knew that God created everything on earth and heavens both living and non-living and we should take great care of them for they are God's creation.

I thank you very much for spending most of your time with us and preaching the word of God to us which increased our knowledge about Him. Feel appreciated and we also appreciate your messages. You are welcome again in our school. May Almighty Father shower you with His blessings.
